Setup Seeker Search

Open your site setup panel, and make sure the web address points exactly to the site you want to search.

After adding your site, you're done! Now google will search only the adress you entered when visitors type their term in the search bar.

Setup Seeker Search (using Rapid Search)

If you desire your search results to look seamless with the rest of your site (and who wouldn't), it's recommended you use Josh Lockhart's RapidSearch plug-in.

** For this method you'll need to download the "I CON Seeker Search (Rapid Search)" snippet. Download it here. **

1) Open your site setup panel, and make sure the web address points exactly to the base of where your site is going to be published.

2) Add a RapidSearch plug-in page to your project, and add the url of the site you want to search.

3) Open the RapidSearch page inspector and rename the Page and Browser title to whatever you wish.

4) VERY IMPORTANT: Rename the folder to "search", and make sure the filename is "index.html".

5) Open the "index.html" file of your I CON theme contents:

a) Open your theme tray and find the appropriate "I CON" theme icon.
b) Right click (or control + click) on the icon, then select "Reveal theme contents in Finder."
c) Open the "index.html" file with an html editor (if you don't have one, get a free one here).

6) Now open the "I CON Seeker Search (RapidSearch)" snippet, and copy the code.

7) Going back to the index.html file, scroll down until you find two lines of code that say "Seeker Search Code", and "End Seeker Search Code". Delete the code between these two lines, and paste in your new snippet code.

Look for this:

Then change it to this, (with your snippet):

8) Save your work, and you're done. **Note the seeker search function will only work when your project has been published to the web.
